I have fine and very stubborn straight hair. It wants to be straight and there's nothing i can do about it. No matter how i style it (i like short/messy/spikey-sortof hair style) every strand seems to straighten out within an hour or two. Since my hair is fine, i cant use a lot of product or my hair will not only be straight, but weighed down.
i dont think im ever gonna get my hair not to be straight but im at least looking to be able to style it with a little more variation. not just let all the strands stick out and look like i have a buzz cut.

Genetically, all black people have kinky hair unless they have a mutation in the gene that types for hair type. If a person is mixed between black and another race, they will most likely have the kinky hair because it is a dominant gene. Sometimes, if the white or other-race parent has straight hair, their child will have straight hair. It is less likely that a mixed individual will have straight hair because the gene for straight hair is recessive to the gene for kinky hair.

If by black, you mean African descent, I don't think any have straight hair. There are Pakistanis and Indians (Asian) who are very dark skinned (as dark as any African) and they have straight hair.

Alright dude I got the same flat, boring hair. I spike it in the front, or sometimes all of it. The product you need is TRESemme Styling Gel. It needs to be firm hold. Its in a tube, and it's liquid. Sometimes I also do the Robert Pattinson look (yes I can pull it off .) For that you need something strong and sturdy. I use AXE messy look for that. Its hard like wax. Its in a red container. Hope this helps my friend.

Hair styles for straight hair ? for men?
I have naturally straight hair and i dont quite know what to make from my hair.
The individual hair themselves are thinker than usual and the density is medium. I usually go for the spiked look but i cant do that with out applying gel which in turn has its side effects. I am alright with using creams.
Can someone please suggest something good?

A good barber can design a regular taper cut or one of the short pomp styles-crew cut, ivy league(long crew cut), flat top crew cut- to suit most guy's head shape, face and neck shape, frontal hairline and facial features. Thick hair of medium density will work with any regular barber shop style:

Try krew comb or a control wax instead of a gel. They don't set up a stiff breakable hold and the hair can be tousled and then pushed or brushed back into place.

1) Towel dry hair.
2) Barely dip fingertips in jar of wax.
3)Transfer wax to palms.
4) Smooth palms over hair.
5)Brush hair off forehead to form short pomp front.
Whichever style you decide on, be sure to take a photo to help describe the desired haircut to the barber or stylist. If you need more photos of any of the above styles, let me know.

Certain shampoos can help to train your hair, and by straightening and combing/brushing your hair every day you can ';train'; your hair to be less curly, but your hair will always be naturally curly. I'm a guy and I have curly hair also. I bought a straightener and a blow dryer a few weeks ago and what you do is after you blow dry your hair, spray some heat protector on your hair before you straighten so you don't fry your hair. If you don't have a straightener, use a big round brush and while you are blow drying your hair, run the brush through it and rotate it away from you. Your hair should be straighter after doing this. It may take a while depending on how much hair you have but I've been doing it for years and I find it works pretty well.

Well you could always straighten it with a hair straightner or hair dryer.. But you could get it chemically straightened, you can do this at the hair dressers. Also there are straightening shampoos and creams such as Wella hair straightening cream. Although they don't really tend to work that well..
I suggest you see what it looks like by ironing, slash straightening it with hair straightener (preferably ghd), if you don't have one i suggest you buy one, or go to the hair dressers and ask them to do it. Then if you like it you can chemically straighten it. Chemically straigtening lasts for a long time, but I really suggest you try out straight hair before you do it chemically as your face may not suit straight hair..
Another option that is not either of the above is to get a good short cut to lose the curls..
